 EPDM is an extremely durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) widely used in low-slope buildings in the United States and worldwide. Its two primary ingredients, ethylene and propylene, are derived from oil and natural gas. 

 A silicone roof coating, also known as Silicone Restoration Membrane, is a substance that is applied onto a roof directly using special silicone roof coating spray equipment. There are two types of roof coatings: acrylic and silicone.   

 Asphalt shingles comprise 80% of residential roofs across North America. This shingle consists of a fiberglass base mat coated in composition asphalt materials or combined with rubber for more durability. This gives it additional strength against hail and waterproofing properties.
